Today's highlighted route is a Dual Sport loop in Northwest Iowa.
The Okoboji Dual Sport Loop is located in Northwestern Iowa and Southwestern Minnesota and includes a good mix of paved and gravel roads. Starting near Marble Beach State Park, this loop heads North into Minnesota and east to Jackson. After angling Southeast through Fort Defiance State Park and Estherville, the route continues for a fun 2 track ride past Ingham Lake.
After Ingham Lake, this route passes through Wallingford before heading West through the countryside. On this stretch there is another fun Minimum Maintenance road for 1 mile before eventually returning to the starting point on the West side of Spirit Lake.
For some reason, my video system was not working on this ride (user error!!), but we have a short cell phone video of the Level B road pictured above.

We had a great time last weekend at Woodstock KTM/Triumph and we would like to thank everyone for coming out to participate.
If you are wondering if this workshop is for you, here is an overview:
The topics we cover are: GPS Theory, Garmin Basecamp Introduction and Demonstration, REVER Trip Planner Introduction and Demonstration, Loading GPS Routes into Navigation Devices and Smartphones. The informal presentation and discussion will take about 2 hours.
We also set aside some time to do some one on one support to help people with their specific issues. Finally, as one more incentive, we will also have some great discounts and door prizes for workshop attendees!

A note on this route. Currently there is road work in Jackson, MN and Estherville, IA with requires detours to get around. The road between Jackson and Petersburg has a section that is closed, and a section of highway 9, in Estherville is closed. There is a marked detour in Estherville. This may cause some adjustments to the route. I rode most of this loop the other day.
