This week we wanted to highlight our Door County Tour Route:
The Door County Tour is a 3 day trip that explores a very unique part of Wisconsin and is high on the bucket list of many Midwest riders. This ride starts in Little Chute (Appleton) and hugs the Lake Michigan shoreline as closely as possible all the way to the tip of the Door County peninsula. A short ferry ride takes you to Washington Island where you can explore the island’s history and view the lavender fields. After returning from Washington Island, this route hugs the Green Bay side of the peninsula back to the city of Green Bay before returning to Little Chute.
The third leg of this ride also makes a stop at the Wisconsin Motorcycle Memorial. This is a memorial park dedicated to Wisconsin Riders who have passed and it is a very beautiful and touching experience.
The Door County Loop includes a great mix of amazing roads and historical and natural sites. This area was among the earliest to be settled in Wisconsin, so it has a rich history. Fishing, logging and shipping were among the earliest industries, so there are lots of museums and lighthouses in the area. In addition to the historic sites, the roads are very cool and some appear to be very remote.
The Door County Tour loop also includes 8 Wisconsin Rustic Roads and a visit to historic Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame. If you are looking for a great ride in Eastern Wisconsin, check out the Door County Loop!
New Route Update:
We are still creating new routes that we hope to have available very early in the spring. So far we have 8 new routes in the Ozarks, 9 new routes in the Black Hills (including 2 dual sport routes), and 6 new routes in Arizona. We will be releasing these to the general public as soon as we (or our route testers) have had a chance to verify them.
