The Sheep Creek Skinwalker Loop is a paved ride located in Northeastern Utah. This loop is actually made up of 2 separate short loops that start and finish in Vernal, Utah.
Starting in Vernal, this loop heads South and West through the low rolling scrubland. Just before reaching Fort Duchesne, this loop goes past the entry to the famous Skinwalker Ranch. After the ranch and Fort Duchesne, this loop returns to Vernal for the start of the 2nd leg of the ride.
The second leg of this ride heads North out of Vernal and quickly climbs a series of switchbacks before emerging on the high plateau. Upon approaching the Flaming Gorge Reservoir, the path turns West and enters the narrow, winding Sheep Creek Canyon. From the Sheep Creek Canyon, the loop backtracks East and eventually South through the same amazing countryside back to the starting point in Vernal.
